2.Can you see the Water?
The first verse for this song was written about
2 years ago but it wasn't till Julz was
stuck in a tube strike that the rest came to life.
" ...it's rare in this mess with all our scheduled
stress we can see water not only as rain"
3.Joe's Hasting's Bass solo
Recently the band havebeen spending some time
playing recorded jam gigs in Hastings on the Coast
near Brighton. There seems to be quite a cool I've
scene down by the ocean. They have been down there
twice now and on both occasions there have been
some special moments. One such moment was this solo
of Joe's. For the record they are joined by ryan and
steve on acoustic and electric guitar.
Julz, incase you can't tell is the one keeping the
no-notes rhythm, either trying to play the drums
or break a string.
5.The Tide
The Tide is an old one that the
band brought out of hibernation for their Kashmir
club gig last november. This is a 'bootleg' copy
in the spirit of mic into a minidisc (thanks Andrew)
6.Walk with me
This track quickly became a
popular live number for the band. It was the song
they finished all their gigs with on the last tour.
Initially written by Julz while visiting melbourne
in June it came together with an uncanny ease when
taken to Joe and Chubs at rehearsal. Lyrics
7.The ballad of the barmaid andthe underage drinker
True story involving a good friend of Joe's and a
good friend of Julia's who, for privacy's sake,
shall remain nameless. Have a listen to the lyrics
and i'm sure you'll get the picture. Lyrics

Sitting in an Irish bar a million miles from home
75p for a cup of tea to rest before i roam
I've only 2 more hours to fill, till a hard days
work i've done I was delivering some leaflets but
already i've got none and the Saturday traffic
passes by, they do not know my stare I'm picturing
how my life would be if i sat in thier chair
The couple across the room from me seem just content
to sit I guess its the years have passed since they
needed to prove their wit The young guy in the
corner sips his beer and watches TV Another walks
in dressed like my friend, but his friends just
aren't like me and the Saturday traffic passes by,
as the room begins to fill the people smile to
welcome friends who come now and always will
Killing time is it a crime?
am i a criminal?
Killing time i'd lose my mind
just to pay the bills
Killing time i'm starting to find is the done thing
to do Until you ask the question Do you kill time,
or does time kill you? 'Old Mate in the corner seems
to love his racing guide with tobacco and beer to
numb the fear - Which horse will he decide?
well back to me its ten to three and i'm getting
paid till four i guess at last i'm starting to see
what this killing time is for and the Saturday
traffic passes by, they still don't know my stare
I'm picturing how my life would be if i sat in thier
chair and as i sit by a river i wonder about all of
the feelings im yet to uncover as each tiny droplet
flows back to thesea, so far from the water that's
brewed for my coffee.
Walk with me
I'm looking for an inspiration
To carry us all through
With constant pressure self inflicted
The sleepin is overdue
You mean the world to me
I'd hate to stear you wrong
I don't know if I'm doing alright
But I know you love a song
On the phone to me
Answers come from me
You wont look down unless
I fall over
And I wont fall over cause
(You) When you walk into a roomI notice
(You) You're the reason I believe a promise
(Please) I want you to know
If you walk with me I wont fall down
Collective skills outdo the solo
I hope we're still the same tomorrow
I know you've seen me all messed up before
But It killed me when I watched you follow
In a room with me
The path's been set I see
I won't fall down unless you get knocked over
Dont you dare fall over!!!
Left or right, but down the middle?
Happiness outsourced. Belittled.
One on one a note we share
But down this road foryou I'm scared
(You) when you walk into a room I notice
(You) You are the reason I believe in promises
(Please) I want you to know If you walk with me
I wont fall down
I wont fall down!!!
The Ballad of the Barmaid and the Underage drinker
Well your friend's on the phone And he's driving
my friend home
And he's asking if you know her But he does not know how well
you know her Is it just a small world Another 'boy meets girl'
Another drunken sunrise
Is when you start to realise
that Worlds are colliding,
Worlds are colliding
It's all very frightening,
Its Kinda enlightening
They both had stories to tell But we knew very well
That any exaggeration
Would need a confirmation
A friend of ours at school Not one she'd ever seen
One look from me and she knew
The reason was that he'd only just turned 17
Your life, my life Small town stories end in strife
Your life, my life Everyone knows everybody!!!
